I want to say a huge thank you to Scott for taking the time to come to Guernsey and give us what I feel is THE BEST training I have ever been on.
Scott delivered such impactful and inspiring training in a brutally honest and insightful way which touched so many people in the room.
His messages about what it’s truly like to be a child in the care system and especially about how the decisions made about his and his brother’s lives have impacted them, are so valuable in taking a look at current practice in social work and I will definitely remember what he had said in my practice.
This training is so important to roll out to all carers and social workers (and everyone else working with children) on our island as this is a fantastic in-depth look at a child’s perspective from a very articulate and self-aware adult.
